PT Jatim Taman Steel Manufacturing (JTSM) has successfully completed the Green Industry Standard (SIH) audit conducted by the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia through BSPJI Surabaya on October 14–15, 2025.
The audit was carried out smoothly and comprehensively, covering assessments of energy efficiency, waste management, raw materials, water usage, and the implementation of environmental management systems across all JTSM facilities.
During the closing session, the Head of BSPJI Surabaya, Ransi Pasae, expressed appreciation for Jatim Steel’s commitment and consistency in transitioning toward a green industry.
“We see that Jatim Taman Steel continues to grow over time, taking concrete steps toward efficiency and sustainability. We hope this strong collaboration will continue in the future,” he stated in his remarks.
The implementation of the Green Industry Standard (SIH) is a strategic program by the Ministry of Industry aimed at encouraging manufacturing companies to operate efficiently, environmentally friendly, and competitively on a global scale. SIH certification serves as official recognition of a company’s commitment to reducing emissions, conserving energy, and managing resources sustainably.
For Jatim Taman Steel, the successful completion of this audit reinforces its tangible steps in supporting the transition toward a Green Steel Industry, in line with its sustainability roadmap and Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission 2060 target.
“The SIH audit is not merely an evaluation, but part of our journey to become an environmentally responsible and highly competitive steel manufacturer,” said a representative of JTSM management.
For Indonesian Iron and Steel Industry Association, the success of member companies in undergoing the SIH audit represents an important step in strengthening the national green steel ecosystem. IISIA expressed its appreciation to JTSM for its active participation and commitment to the program, as part of the collective effort of the steel industry to accelerate the transition toward more efficient and low-emission production processes.
This achievement also demonstrates that national industry players are ready to align with government policies on manufacturing decarbonization, while enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian steel in the increasingly sustainability-driven global market.
